Check it out!! - If you´re visiting Portugal don´t forget to check this spot: Fonte da Telha. Its near Caparica (below Lisboa)Its a long beach with several spots, in the summer the waves are less but in the Winter u gotta see to belive, great, powerfull waves 1/5-2,5m (sets)Its good to camp there also. Try it and have fun:)

places to go.... - If you have a car and are up for being alone try the alentejo coast, some very cool scenery with sweet spots. if you want to go to the busier "surf regions" Ericeira and Sagres are safe bets, you're bound to meet other people who are also traveling there. Peniche is another place i recomend. take it easy....

Hi, surfers. - Where do you recommed to visit in portugal? I might travel by myself,so need a little bit of good information about cozy & cheap hostels,small but good condition waves,and safer era to go to. Would be lovely if anyone drop a line.

can anyone recommend?! - I am thinking about going to central Lisboa in mid september but need to combine surfing & nightlife to keep everyone happy! thinking of going to Costa/Joao da Caparcia or maybe Estoril/Cascais can anyone recommend either & any accommodation???

how to rent surfboards and wetsuits in Portugal ? - It is a big problem finding a surfshop with rentals in Portugal.
But in Cascais, 25 km west of Lisbon, near a variety of surfspots, there is the 2nd.Hand Surfshop. They have very fair prices. Check their website:
