The Spot has a strong current.
The waves here are big.
A long time ago the maltese inhabitants have built a wall in the water. So everybody who wanted to conquer Malta and Gozo drove with the boat into the wall.

Ramla Bay - Most consistent spot on Gozo, usually the only place to get waves in the summer but watch out for all the swimmers.
Strong current to left of beach where the wall is.
The other end can produce good sand bars from time to time. A couple of good little reefs that can work within walking distance
