San Mig Info. - I come here often. Have seen it 8-10ft. and barreling, but it's normally a lot smaller. Works best off a NorthWest or a really strong South Westward (it's almost protected by a huge Bay that wraps around to the South). The ocean bottom is gnarly - lots of coral and rock reef - boots are a MUST. Watch your shit at night - the locals come in to party at the beach and gank your stuff if you leave it laying around unattended. Most of the locals are friendly and helpful. Showers on site w/ warm water. The restaurant on top the hill is cheap and good. Camping is 10 dollars a night - the toll on Rt. 1 is 2.35 US per toll (3 tolls to San Miguel - the site is RIGHT after the 3rd toll on the right). E-mail me if you want more details. Keep this gem on the DL! Great place to get away from LA.
