Puerto Viejo...nice spot - Was here in early December. Puerto Viejo is a nice little town. Lots to do, and the people are great. Stayed at a sweet spot called Jacaranda ($25/night). Cocles is a little down the road, so you should rent a bike to get down to beach. Waves were nice, but rides were short and close to shore. More of a bodyboard wave, but some good longboarders were ripping it up on the main break. Love me some Costa Rica, pura vida!

Isla cocles - Paddle out to the island.....The left reef break is usually better than the beach break.
