waidroka sucks - i was there last month and f*cking hated it. the owners are the biggest pricks ever. the waves blown out more often that not, and even when they were decent it was damn hard to get out there. i don't know who you have to root to get things moving over there, but i didn't find them. go elsewhere would be my advice... indo has way more waves!~

Waidroka - Was there in June and had an awesome time at Waidroka. Unfortunately was only there for four days. Resort was great, food was good, staff fantastic. Only surfed Pipe which was a great but challenging wave on your back hand. I would recommend this resort, and would be happy to pass on any information to anyone considering going.

Jacob K. - Has pipes been breaking during July, 2009? Has anyone stayed at the resort in the last 6 months? If so how is the customer relations and service for the surfers?

Great Time in Fiji at Waidroka - Just spent 4 days with family at Waidroka and loved it. Surfed pipe and Frigates which was great. Resort is realy nice and has everything one may wish for . We loved the attention by our hosts and the dinners where always a lot of fun with everyone around one big table. Surfing and resort get our support...keep it up and thanks for a great stay.

Awesome Waves and Surf Trip... - Although only a very short trip for 5 days we went for a quick trip and short notice booking to Waidroka and had an absolute blast. Waves where on with a good swell and some great no wind early morning surfs. 3 Days at Pipe and 2 at Frigates got us back home totally surfed out. It was way more than we expected and the resort was just, hospitality, atmosphere and people - we'll definatley be back there!

Waidroka - Pipe - Frigates - We stayed at Waidroka in June/July and where lucky with some good swells. The resort was great from all aspects and the surf much better than expected. The south westerly swells hit the Coral Coast and Frigates with some 13-14 period ground swells and we had a blast. Waidroka took care of our every needs and Karin & Boris where the perfect hosts. The resort looks great with a great pool and great interior. We went fishing several times and got lucky with a great spanish mackerel. All in all one of the best surf vacations we have ever had. I was there with my friend and our two girlfriends and it was nice to see we all enjoyed it even though our girlfriendsa don't surf...massages, day trips, kayaking and whitesand beach excursions..

Right on...

Great Waidroka Stay... - Don't know about the comments just now, but stayed at Waidroka and had a blast. The owners though don't have a son that seems dying, buit rather a sweet little daughter. Boris who owns and runs the resort went out surfing with us most of the time and was great. The food and service was absolutley the best and everyone seemed to care about us. Pipe was a fast barrel and Frigates couldn't have been better. We surfed with a maximum of 3-5 surfers at the breaks apart from one Frigates day where another camp put another 2 surfers in the water. Waidroka is well worth it and having been to many other camps in the middle of nowhere and appreciating the fact that these camps are there to enable us to surf remote spots - I was quite happy with the generators switching off at night (mopstly around midnight and not at 9pm), also for the fact that it is more ecological and no generator exhaust blats all night into the sky. For those wanting electricity like at home - stay there and surf your own breaks.

We will be back at Waidroka and booked for February.

- stayed at the place about 2 years ago and its all true, great surf but the owners are horrible! the one owners son who looks like he is dying of aids has a super hot local wife which he must pay off...other than that the local help are cool but I would never go back there. owners dont like the surfers and would rather dive and fish all day. trust me on that one.
