Drive through the long reef golf club to the headland from fishermans bay. Walk up over the headland down to the rock shelf. To your left you'll see Makaha, to the right you'll see Butterbox.

Hale Nalu recommended - The surf is great, rented my eqipment from Hale Nalu surf shop and the service was helpful, they also let me know the rules of the area so to speak- with safety as a priority :) Thanks!!!

3 different waves - It looks like you're talking about 3 different waves. Makaha is the right off the rocks which breaks in a South swell, Makaha Bombie which is a peak that breaks in big E-S swells and Little Makaha which needs a North swell and breaks inside the other 2
