perroquet - this spot is for experienced surfers only!!!!!!
sharks - if you don't want see a shark you will don't go to : 3 bassins reef , hermitage left and right , la pointe au sel ( more dangerous ) and cap requin
Infos - Infos on sharks http://perso.wanadoo.fr/shark.run/
Surf/Morey - I surf year long in the reunion island where I live.I strongly advise Aigrettes left waves for body-boarders, and boucan beach when waves gets to high ( last week-end, 3-4 meters ).For surfers (who can swim), étang salé "brisans" spot is my favorite, from may to november.Never had any sharks, or problems with locals.Avoid cementary spot at StPaul, and more simply surfing around St Denis and east coast.See ya
Des spots pour tous - Un conseil : allez-y si quelque soit votre niveau. Les vagues grosissent du Nord au Sud, quand on parcourt la côte ouest. On évite les requins en privilégiant certains spots à d'autres.A tip : go there, you will enjoy surf spots for beginners and experienced surfers. Wawes are growing when you travel on the West Coast, from North to South. You will find easier if you know a few words of french. And don't forget being respectful and discret.
good wave - excellent waves, 3 to be exact. More medium to excellent breaks. Lots of shark stories to keep the tourists away. Most sharks are south in colder waters (south Africa). Le pic diable has hardcore locals but still nothing like Puerto Rico or California. Surf is good almost year round and friendly place.
Mauritius - Does anyone know about surfing in Mauritius?
when to go? and sharks - winter is summer (if you live up hear) october can be glassydon't wee out back, head south when small, north when big or windy. Avoid wednesday afternoons, don't drop in, buy a new leash, hire gear from st gilles, or trois bas tuesday to sunday, visit the aquarium respect the coral.
Sharks - Plan to go to reunion, probably longer from september untill february. is it a good time to surf there?? not too bad probably as i saw on this page. but what abut sharks!!!bad ones or can you surf there without dying??cherio
