Surf trip description:

Writing an essay can be a challenge, but it is an essential part of college life that cannot be wished away. Writing an essay or term paper about summer holidays is quite an easy one because you only need to express your experience during the summer holiday. However, the best term paper on this topic is one that is devoid of some common mistakes. So what are the common mistakes that students make when faced with the task of writing this essay?

Using a dull tone

The first thing that comes into the reader’s mind immediately they read the topic is happiness. Vocation is mostly, if not always, a happy experience. You will therefore try your best express the experience in a way that brings out the joy and brightness of living it. The ability to get the tone that flows with the topic will ensure that the reader follows the and remains attached to the essay from the time he starts reading till the end.

Wrong structure

Planning is an essential part of term paper writing. A properly planned term paper will keep the reader glued to your work without any distraction whatsoever.  Structure your work in a way that it flows from the introduction to the conclusion. The introduction should contain, for example, how you planned your holiday. You can then move on to explain the key events of the summer holiday. This forms the body of your essay before you write a brief conclusion. You must keep your sentences short and informative. Failure to properly structure your work will make your work confused and difficult to follow.

Mixing tenses

Remember you are writing about what has already taken place. Most students fail by confusing tenses. You must stick to the past tense throughout the essay. The most unfortunate thing about the use of tenses is that it is always that strict. If you are not sure of your tenses, you can always procure professional writing services as you work on your tenses; otherwise, you are bound to end up with a laughable piece.

Poor and disjointed narration

Every time you write your term papers, you aim to catch the instructor’s attention so that he enjoys reading. However, if you do not narrate well, the instructor will most likely get bored midway, and might as well stop reading before he gets to the end. Every paragraph must be as exciting as possible and must connect well with the next. The good news is that you are writing on personal experience, so you should be able to connect the events. To be sure, however, consider sharing your term paper with a friend or two for an initial review before you send it to the instructor.

Being rush and ignoring reviews

Producing a perfect term paper is not a walk in the park. It requires a serious level of investment, especially when you will be writing the final copy. Failure to thoroughly edit your work means you will submit it with silly and avoidable errors that you should have otherwise corrected. Again, make sure to always act precisely on the reviews that your instructor will give on your first draft. Remember, it is the instructor who decides whether your work is good or not. Look at every comment and correct appropriately.

Despite being a very simple and straightforward topic, most people still falter when tasked with writing a term paper about summer holidays. With these tips, however, it should now be an easy and smooth task.
