Better than Chicama - For all those who think Chicama is a Classic good long wave, here it is Pacasmayo, the bigger sister of Chicama, maybe is not as long as it, but long enough to feel the power. Great 2m or more.

long walk to break. - lots of Brazilians, but the are everywhere right... watch that rock and the net out in the lineup.nice to hold onto when that current rips.

pacasmayo - needs to be 6 foot to really start working which sometimes can be a long wait . swells tend to come and go real quick being so far from the source. in the description it says empty lineup. i have been there with 25 brazilians and 25 gringos and locals on top of that. it definitely wasnt empty. when its on , its on, and can get epic but dont expect classic waves every day. there is little or no wind in summer and the rest of the year theres a howling wind that picks up early in the morning. enjoy.

Top of the morning - This paradisiaco port indeed deserves to be placed like point forced for all the one that loves good surf, by the waves of 10 feet!!

el duke - If you come to Pacasmayo stay at the hostal el Duke owned by Otto, a good surfer and a good man. Very reasonable and clean rooms. Right in the center of town. Pacasmayo may not be the most beautiful pueblo in Peru but the food is good and the people are very friendly...and the wave..gotta go to find out. Also want to find out if anyone has heard about plans to build a harbor at El Faro. Want to see if that madness is true. And if so what we can do about it.

Enjoy Pacasmayo - Pacasmayo is not as perfect and long as Chicama (Classical Spot), but is really more heavy, big and powerful wave. The current, the reef, give a special interest and aditional emotion. In normal conditions you can find 5-6 foot surfing, and a good day over 10 Foot. Prove yourself in one 10 foot day in Pacasmayo !

Pacasmayo - Epic, long wave, holds solid double, even triple overhead, consistently above chest high, watch out for the S wind, best to surf early in the morning, long wall to carve up, slightly mushy but still epic. When it gets to triple overhead, then hit Chicama
