this spot can only be reached by boat so you obviously need a boat,if you haven't you can strike up a friendship with someone who haves a boat or maybe give some money to brasilians fisher who are living near the port.If the boat isn't a problem for you go to "Dégrad des cannes port"in the city of Rémire montjoly,then it's very easy because islands are viewable from the port.the spot is just behind the "mother island",the only with a landing.the most difficult is to find the spot when you park the boat in the landing.the easiest is to park the boat in the spot,drop the anchor and jump to the water with your board.
this island is full of little monkeys so protect your food.they eat everything and they can open your bags!be careful of rocks,we often break our fins.Some people says there are shark and perhaps you will see odd things in the water but this "weird things" are harmless.

the spot of "l'Ile de la mère" is not the best spot ever,far from it but in french guiana it's one of the best,more over it's cool to surf on an island.

this spot is great (when it works of course)to stay a few days but once again take care of monkeys they're mad!!!
