Santa Marta | Barranquilla | Nuqui - Hello,
I'm looking to get some information on a few spots down in ColOmbia. I'm originally from San Andres Isla--haven't been back sinc,e and I am dying to surf back in my home land. I've been looking at Nuqui since is the most promising wave, but it's quite far and not as accessible as Barranquilla and Santa Marta. Is there a place you would recommend more over the other one? I know San Andres has waves, but rarely. Any information would be appreciated. I'm looking to go back for Navidad for the whole month of December, barrels are always welcome. Doesn't matter if it's 2-3 feet. I just want clean conditions. Any suggestions are welcome.
Surfing Colombia and Venezuela - Hi all! We are heading to Colombia and Venezuela in the middle of february for 6 weeks and are up for surfing. Any tips on good surf spots or surf camps would be really appreciated! Not sure if my email will appear below so here it goes: firstname.lastname@example.org
Vamos a Colombia y Venezuela para surfear en febrero y marzo. Si sabes algo de donde hay buenas olas, escuelas de surf, o donde se puede alquilar una tabla, escribeme por favor!
costenos - just visited the brothers at costeno surf camp, got lucky and arrived during some serious swell, about 8 feet, a real fun time with these guys
Excellent Trip to Colombia - We went to Cartagena (no surf), San Andres y Providencia (no surf), and Medellin (definately no surf) and had GREAT time. Colombia is awesome and you'll only figure this out by going. Don't beleive the hype.
Surf School on Caribbean Coast - I have just came from Santa Marta, Colombia and stayed at Casa Grande just outside of Park Tayrona. I rented a surf board, went for a hike and stayed for the weekend. I had an awesome time at Costeno surf school, thank. For more info go to www.costenosurf.com
- Nicaragua Is far from safe too and i don't see anyone writting such a bad comment about it.
I have been there and it is as safe as traveling tru central america.
Nice beaches, nice waves, sheap, and Nuqui and Valle are in the midle of the jungle, if you don't know, One of the thickest in the world.
acuestrar - viva colombia. mas bonita pasiajes, mujeres, playas, y onda de la gente de todo el mundo, despues mi vuelita mundial corriendo olas y chambiando en todos partes. una muy buena onda y felicidad de la vida.
CabareteSurfer - Im looking for any surfer in N.Y or close, that can tell me about good beaches around here,,..646-301-8069
FARC KIDNAP TOURISTS IN CHOCO - Well folks they let a few go and grab a few more. Here are some links to articles on the recent snatch of six tourists between Nuqui and Valle.
Far from safe. If your Spanish is not excelent DO NOT GO. If you stand out as a gringo, DO NOT GO. 99% of all visitors to this area are Colombian. Good luck to those who decide to chance it....

Nuqui Trip - Great! So where did you stay and how did you access the surf. I understand that the lodges in the area (i.e., El Cantil) are very expensive with boat rental at $200 per day. Can you give details. You can write me at email@example.com THANKS.
