Brazil: should you go?? here is my take... - Brazil it isnt inexpensive anymore, specially in the south(from Rio to RS. Also very very crowded. Im brazilian living abroad and I'd recommend to go to brazil for the experience as a whole (culture, ladies, people, food, parties etc etc,) but if you main goal is to suf then is better to go someplace else...good vibes! Where to Surf in Brazil - The best destination in Brazil is definitely Santa Catarina state, in the south of the country, and if you rent a truck you will surf all kind of waves in all kind of beaches. Plus you can check Ilha dos Lobos (one of the best waves in the world), in Rio Grande do Sul state a few hours by car to the south. The more you go to the south the prettier are the girls (Gisele Budchen and many other gorgeus blonde top models all came from Rio Grande do Sul)

North Shore - If you are planing a surf trip to Brazil, be sure to check Sao Paulo´s north shore, specially São Sebastiao and Ubatuba. These places have great infra structure, huge variety of waves, and receive south and south-east swells quite often. Besides, looks and girls are among the best in Brazil. The best spots are: Maresias, Cambury, Baleia, Itamambuca, Félix. Best time to surf is from April to October (but if u are lucky u can get a good swell in summer too, and the weather is better). Stay at a "pousada" and don´t miss Sirena (club) if u get the chance to check Maresias. About transport, if u arrive in Sao Paulo, those places are 2 - 3 hours away by car (roads are very good, though expensive). The best site to check wave forecast for this region is: www.waves.com.br. Hope u have a great time in Brazil and enjoy our waves and vibe!
