It's just one hour from Sao Paulo City, and it's situated in Guaruja Island. Very easy access with good roads. It's a famous surf city, and Pitangueiras Beach has received some international contests.

Board rental
In Pitangueiras you can rent or buy a shape, new and used, it's easy to find. Guarujá is nice, but if you really want to surf in a nice plce go to North coast of São paulo, clean water, and surrounded by nature not by buildings. Go to both than you'll see.
