no title - very beautiful beaches and landscapes... and notice that i'm from rio de janeiro, what makes my standards very high in terms of natural beauty. surf wasn't good when i was there (itamambuca, toninhas, grande de ubatuba) but i may have been unlucky. will be back

Guaruja' - I lived in Brazil 88'-89'and surfed Guaruja more than anywhere else. Lots of good waves and good nightlife. However, the water is a little smelly.

Cool Santos and Guaruja locals - I lived in Brazil , all the good surf spots , for 6 years.Recently went back for 2 weeks and surfed Santos and Guaruja for the first time.I always thought it would be crowded and unfriendly , so close to SP. But not so , got classic surf everday and met some really cool folk.Helped out at the Bad Boy Surf School with the cool kids who get free lessons from Rogerio. Um grande abraco par todos !

Ilha bela? - That map looks good to me, but I've never been to Brazil before. Does anyone know what the waves are like at "Ilha Bela" and where it is in relation to Santos?

Good Waves in Sao Paulo North Coast - You can find good waves here, most of them during winter time, from June to October. Maresias and Camburi are the best, and you can also surf some scret spots, like a point break called Black's Point in an island just one hour from the coast.

WAVES & CHICKS - CAMBURI SMALL TOWN JUST SOUTH OF MARESIAS,GOOD LEFT AT NORTH END AND RIGHT AT SOUTH,ALSO PEAKS UP AND DOWN THE BEACH.TOTALLY UNCROWDED DURING THE WEEK BUT ON THE WEEKEND TRANSFORMS INTO LITTLE IPANEMA WITH TRUCK LOADS OF BEAUTIFUL CHICKS,AND HOARDS OF SAO PAULO SURFERS THE WIND TURNS OFF SHORE EVERY DAY AT 3PM.
AT NIGHT THERE IS SOME GOOD PARTY CLUBS (GALEAO & NUSA DUA ).THERE IS PLACES TO CAMP NEAR THE BEACH ,BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOK OUT FOR YOU BELONGINGS.
