Praia Brava is at Itajai, not in Floripa. It's a standard wave; and the worst, rarely break, always flat...

not the same spot
The praia brava you guys are looking for is located on the north of florianopolis island which is a strong and fast wave on the good days. the praia brava the site has mentioned is the praia brava of itajai, a port city 50 miles away from the islan. good barrels same times too .catch ya

brava beach
hey guys, i am brazilian, and i live in brava beach in florianopolis. i really think that the beach you are talking about is not the same of the pictures.
we have in santa catarina 2 bravas beach, frist is in itajai and the second is in florianopolis.
you should check it out. that is it ... enjoy

There's a Brava in Floripa too, good hollow beachie.One of the best on the Island

This beach is at Itajai, not Florianopolis... you have to fix it.

bom spot
i have been there in february 2003....
it's a nice spot, with a lot of different peaks all along the beach (2km). You'll find a surfshop and a shaper (Junçao surfboards) downtown Itajai (av. 7 de setembro)
