Surf in July - I went to Geriba 10 days on July. Nice waves all days, between 3 and 5ft. Sometimes the waves are really fast and not very surfeable, but it's a nice point. When conditions are good the wave is really long and nice, with tubes. The wind onshore or cross shore wind sometimes hits bad the beach. I recommend surfing during the morning. Locals didnt seem to be heavy, the normal localism, if you respect they respect. No more than 20 people in the water. Buzios it's a very nice and quiet place, really good food!!

- i wouldnt bother surfing in buzios... the waves don't justify bothering with it when there are so many perfect 10's around begging for some poleaxe!

surf it! - hi im a young bodyboarder from argentina , i surf Geriba (like 4 or 5 ft) lefts on the left side of the beach, the right was much better but it was full of locals so i ride the left wich was uncrowded. perfect long lefts (better for surfing i recon) with nice big tubes , but i like way more "Praia brava" beach in buzios , a very fun left hand wedge , short but intense and uncrowded on morning , locals are nice people if you respect them of course. And buzios...its a dream place i like it a lot.
