Between São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca beaches.
About 35 minutes from downtown and 25 minutes from Copacabana.

The access can be done by car or after a good walk or even swimming from Barra da Tijuca. It’s a small spot between Barra da Tijuca and Sao Conrado. To access the area it’s necessary to enter in a residential area and go down a cliff.

It's a small beach between Barra Da Tijuca and Sao conrado. You take estrada do joá, it's inside "joatinga condominium". |

Joatinga is a spot that even no waves(flat), there will be some waves, always!!
On week-ends you can see the beautiful brazilian womens. Don't go there when the swell is over 8ft because it becomes horrible!
and remember, RESPECT THE LOCALS!!!!

One of the best waves of rio. Perfect for surfers and bodyboarder... Perfect barrels on the right side, funny waves in the midle, and huge lefts on the left side.
