Additional Surfing Infos |
| | Cacimba is the Brazilian version of Pipeline! This is a fast, hollow and very powerful wave that requires a high technical level from those willing to charge it in a big day. The guy in the pictures is a top 44. In the day those pictures were taken he was one of the only ones having fun there. The other guys in the line up were only experiencing Cacimba's heavy lip in amazing head-first-drops and broken boards.

Overview |
| |
Atmosphere |
Relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Localism is inexistent. The whole population of Fernando de Noronha is directly involved with tourism. Local surfers are people who work in the island’s hotels, rent boats, guide tourist, etc... Therefore, you will probably have already met some of the local surfers by the time you get into the water. |
| |
General |
The bottom of Cacimba do Padre as of most other spots in the island is formed by flat rocks covered by sand. Northern swells start to break in the island by November. However, it is during February and March that waves get into their best formation, as the waves have excavated the sand from the bottom. |

Cacimba do Padre, Brazil
By Pharaot, 2001-02-15 18:41:54
Umas das melhores surf trips que já fiz. Foi onde comecei a virar surfista e a gostar e a ter como um estilo de vida, uma cultura. Muita onda boa, num paraíso.
