-GIANT SEA TURTLE PROTECTED AREA, do NOT even think about touching the nest with eggs (you can get beat up or arrested). If you see a nest contact the PROJETO TAMAR. The whole beach is fenced and there are only two places to park ( no problem ). Once there were a lot of Giant Sea Turtles around and it is Shark's best food, I would advice to keep your eye open. I never saw one myself but... On a good day you can get as many barrels as you ever dreamed, so do not get on the others person wave!!!!
Atmosphere
- Do not get stuck at the breaking point due to the strong current, as the picture are showing, it will make you cry. Prepare your arms to paddle.
- Many groups of friends came from the nearest towns to spend the day here, the mood are real cool.

Just great... - I`ve been in Regencia for a week, this wave is a really funny one and powerful. I`ve surfed Boca du Rio too, its lengh, its power are awesome. I am comming back for sure.I had a great time with my brazilian friend F.

Sick, gnarly place.... - Regência is one of the best surf spots in the world, for sure...The beach is everything you´ve dreaming about it. Like a desert, with out any kind of civilization this hollow beach break wave is such amazing one...Rarely crowded usually there is waves for everybody. When it gets really big the other spot is the rivermouth, at the beach you can´t surf these days, but at the river mouth you´ll get like a "quilometric", 200 meters left handed, through the sand bar. Regencia is such a amazing place. Hard to forget about the sharks....although, we prefer to believe they get food enough.Good waves 4 every 1..!!FaB Exchange experiences, pics..e-mail me..
