Be careful on the take off because there is one rock that sticks up after the first 20 mtr of the wave. The reef is shallow and there are a lot sea urchins. The spot is located one street north after the road that leads to the Catussaba Hotel. It's almost out side the city limits of Salvador so if your staying more towards downtown it's a 30 to 40 min drive to the north beaches of Salvador, but definitely where the best and most consistent surf in town is.

Nice powerful wave. Hollow with good maneuver sections, shallow with cutting rocks. The locals can get heavy sometimes, but just be cool and catch you waves.
