i live in florida deerfiled bch and we get good waves but not all the time i heard south carolina gets better waves man and more times a year

Hey dont move just for surfing. Just take alot of trips. We get alot of flat spells. Just take trips to costa rica or other places like that dont move unless your going to caly.

I want to move o a surfing state (im from missouri)and want to know which is better south florida (miami) or south california (orange county, san diego. Which one has better surf not to crowded, whatever.

not hawaii, but....
For someone like me, who lives in Ky. where the closest salt water is 8 or more hours away, the Atlantic is where it's at. I am only able to get to the Atlantic or Gulf a couple of times a year, so I make the best of it. I like Myrtle Beach, Nags Head, Folly Beach, Jax Beach, Flagler Beach, Ft. Myers Beach, Panama City, etc., etc., etc. With a few exceptions, the waves are nothing like the West Coast or Hawaii or many other places, but they are within somewhat reasonable driving distance for land-locked people like me, and usually much warmer water temperatures than California, Oregon, or Washington, and can drive to, unlike Hawaii or Puerto Rico or Tahiti or whatever.

Hey guys...I am from the midwest and planning to move to the southeast for strictly the purpose of surfing. I need your advise on where to move. What towns and beaches should I look into? Any knowledge you can give me would be great.

South East Rocks
The SE USA has consistently produced some incredible talent (Slater & Co. for starters). Why is that...? B/C they have the most amazing surf spots around...not over crowded with jugheadkookflounders like some other places. And unlike the NE, the surf is FREE....no beach badges and nazi police. West coast is cool, but the chicks are FLAKEYYYY!
