So not true
It's not true that you have to walk to the break, there is a parking lot right in front.
What is true, is the inbreads, i mean locals!
i did come across a couple of good local surfers that were cool, but other than them, what a bunch of d-bags. I must have said hello to three guys after a pretty good sesh, and they just stared me down like I was carrying a bz sponge longboard or something. sorry guys, not my fault your parents didn't raise you right. just try to learn how to surf, maybe you'll be a little happier.

peace out fools, untill next time i steal your waves while you watch on the beach.

Locals
The only locals that will give you a hard time are the ones who can't surf. They have to fall back on thier bad grammar and threaten others to feel some sense of worth.

I have surfed the Rocks longer than most of the locals have been alive. The true locals want grommies and new people to visit. Surfing is about having fun and making friends out in the water. Anything else is for the kooks.

locals vs locals
There are two types of locals. Some that surf well and try to maintain etiquette at a fun spot. These people will take action to your face.
The other type are drunk lowlifes who will F with your car and not your face. Hopefully this recession will see them with no lawns to mow and pools to clean so they end up homeless and infected with aids and herpes.

forget about it
a recent sand-fill project at the local public beach has moved a ton of sand into the cove and onto the reef at the rocks. the once perfect lefts are now sectiony close-outs. don't know if the old rocks will ever return, but it's gone for now.
