you have to wait - breaks 1 or 2 times like the pictures in a bad year....5 to 10 times in an ok to good year.....oh well, thats why we have airplanes and the turnpike.

South Beach is poor quality - Man this wave reeks!! Been there a couple of times to visit family, always take my board just in case and alwasy ahve encountered 1-3ft wind slop powerless waves, although the pictures posted on this page look pretty good, Iam guessing it breaks once every 10 years?!?!

it is (what it is) - yeah, the typical wave here is knee high windslop.
and yeah, it's not your typical surfing environment (like the inlet or huntington beach). but if you grew up here, and spent say 30 years waiting for and surfing those juicy refracto ground swells, you hate to see south beach get dissed on the WWW by some over amped ref who just got here!

no title - This beach sucks for surf normaly but has had it's days holding up 5-7foot tubes.
