Pompano pier Access
  Just go to pompano beach..and pier.
Nice place to surf....got my first barrol their, but i also saw my first shark their. glassy in the mornin and by afternoon normally wind chop but not too bad.

  General i think it is better then most spots in south florida like commercial and dania and possibly deerfield, but not as good as anything passed deerfield such as boca and sebastain and so on.

not bad - better than Ft. Laud
When Ft Laud is small, this tends to be a bit bigger.. deeper.. mostly a longboard wave. Like most beachbreaks -tide dependant.
No localism.. haven't seen sharks.

Lifegaurds will restrict you North to the pier until 4:40pm - dumb town bylaws

reef sharks
lots of sharks here cruising the reef. I went snorkeling here on a flat summer day and saw a few chillin in the reef waitin for a meal. Not man eaters by any means, just a toe or two.
