Locals?
I moved from Jensen 8 years ago I was a local there for over 20 years & I don't recognize the name Mike Hoop. Only the true old skool locals would remember where Turtle beach was in Jensen. Glad to hear the beach is back It started to suck when they built the concession stands & boardwalks went downhill from there. I used to surf north jetty south to the rocks regularly. Blind creek was my favorite after Turtle beach went away.

Thieves!
Watch out for theives, the bastards busted two of my windows and stole backpacks from the back of my car. I wouldn't suggest parking in the Northern lot, it is more hidden from everything.

I took the picture after surfing with my cell phone durring the ophelia swell (winds were offshore that thursday). Now its reefier south of the consession. North of it is more so just sandbar. Last time I went there was 1/15 for a refraction swell. It was a low tide, about knee deep in the water, it was breaking close to shore and hollow (then again what wouldn't be with gale force offshores) shoulder high. Was an easy walkout. Theres a big reef head though south of the consession stand that you might not see if you're comming in. So just watch out for it. Have fun.
