Dania Beach - When surfing Dania Pier or North Hollywood Bch. aka."HOUSES" check out the new surf shop on Dania Beach Blvd. Surf World. Houses breaks good on a winter cold front, usually waist to stomach clean lines, lefts most of the time. Parking sucks unless you want to pay at Dania pier's parking lot and walk a little ways. If there is no rideable surf, alot of locals are into skim boarding...especially by the Pier.
Look at a map - Surfing is a fun sport and if girls wanna surf too, let them. Some girl surfers will surprise you. Dania Beach isn't in North Florida, it's definately in South Florida. P.S. I <3 Dania Beach!
1500ft rides on a Good Day...a little off the mark! - So on a good day this spot breaks 900-1500ft long? Are youout of your mind? Surfed here for 3 years while attending NSU and rarely did it ever get good, and if it was good it was probably even better somewhere else (upcoast). You can have fun on some of the stronger E SE wind swells. I've never seen it break on a SW swell like you report, duh.....maybe because it's a north-south facing beach (GET YOUR SENSE OF DIRECTION DOWN BEFORE YOU DO ANOTHER REPORT)!By the way, the jellyfish here can be nasty. Did see one shark here too, but he was harmless.....usually not a problem!
