Maybe you think you know - Sounds to me like your a hardcore east coast kinda guy, well thats all good with me, I've surfed Seb. I've surfed all up and down the OBX, but nothing compares to having to commit over a shallow reef, and I know you might think your a surfer but your not, cause no true surfer tries to start something on the Internet? Surfings about chillen out and not trying to fight, agros like you shouldn't be alowed in the water, wheres your aloha dick.

no YOU just dont know - Who said myrtle had any good waves? I'm looking over the discriptions of waves in the area and I dont see anything about anywhere here being a good wave? Hmmm....see what I"m getting at? GC or Springy may not be Mase but I know I've surfed better breaks than the waves around here...much better. You just dont know good waves till u've been to Seastian on a good swell...try the first peak wedge at the inlet...it'll blow your little mind. How about any of the scattered peaks in hatteras? Now those are waves.

U guys just don't know - Unless you rednecks that surf at springmaid have ever surfed anywhere else, then you have no idea what a wave is, the inside at springmaid can get crazy but its nothing compared to a real wave. If the waves are good in myrtle and coming out of the south go to Holden, if its firing out of the north head to Wilmington and surf Masonboro, Mase can be a world class wave.

Springy - springmaid gets the best south swell energy in the area, but sucks when its small, the inside sandbar is too close to the beach...your better off at other breaks like gc when there is a lack of swell

11-17-02 - I was just at springmaid pier this weekend there was a really good southwest swell coming in from a storm earlier that week, better waves on southside of pier than north though

Springmaid - Yeah, springmaid picks up better swell than surfside or garden city pier. It's also more crowded and there are more people who don't know what they are doing. Enjoy!

Crowd - Springmaid pier is the meetingplace of all locals and tourists in Myrtle Beach. If any swell comes, SM gets it and it gets crazy packed.
