whenever i first got there there wasnt any waves at all this was at like mayby 10:00 so i just paddle out and my abbs start hurting like a bitch so i get my friends rash gaurd and im fine after that i paddle out 50ft and the waves started walling up More...
fun surf spot
this place is fun. prolly the best spot in myrtle beach. only bad thing is the line up on the main peak, northside right on the pier is always the same local guys that are really good. they wont let you get to the lineup or they will box you out. there are a few dudes that will let you surf it. a guy named charlie, will and some dude with a longboard. they rip so just respect the locals and dont drop in on them and it'll be cool. it breaks good about a 100 yards north of the pier too.

well yea
i surf springmaid all the time and there are a lot of tourist which drop in on you a lot which is negative but it has a better break then most places in myrtle

Reef = negativo
There is absolutly no rock reef. Goto mbsurfing.com and you will see a rock reef from first avenue peir, Myrle Beach. Springmaid rippers 4 life!
