Correct info - Directions say take hwy 40 east to A1A and you're there. Wrong. That is Ormond Beach, Granada Blvd. Take hwy 92 east to A1A and you're in Daytona. Go a couple blocks north from there and you'll find Main St. pier.

Local - The regular sandbar breaks are not that great but if you go to New smyrna jetty or ponce nlet you will get a much better break.

atlanta surfer - im heading to daytona in 3 weeks just for a weekend. any chance ill get some waves. this is the only chance for me to soothe the soul this year. been too busy to hit the beach for a while. can i get some advice?

Yeah! - Yeah!, And if you are that desperate, you might as well drive even further south; to a place that is actually good. Like Sebastian Inlet or Spanish House. Smyrna is a total piece of crap, and Daytona is worse. God, I don't know why people still continue to put these spots on this website that aren't even real spots.

Dub - Daytona is full of full on brick weed smokin, dirty pill takin, dubT kooks. I've seen it good there but go on to Symrna instead.

better breaks - ponce inlet and new smyrna much better more less local vibe and all around better breaks.

Hartford is pretty good - Hartford is the best break in daytona there is a lot of locals that surf hartford on good day, On every good swell you will see Marcus, Jesse, Brad, and Chris rippin it up there are some older guys who suck that call themselves the hartford crew "THC" but there all kooks.
