need info - hey all,

i'll be moving to daytona next month and was wondering how the surf really is minus all the bias talk and insults. im a female surfer and have been surfing for a few years. just ok i guess.... prefer small clean waves, still not a fan of anything big or heavy. are there sharks in daytona waters? appreciate any help

main street pier - if any spot is good main street should be going off. The rights are longer, but the lefts are shorter and hollower.

Good spot - Went surfing up at Ormond, props to Surfaris.

NSG - Hey noodle brain; otherwise known as “Surfermsc”? Instead of just being in the way like the kook you ARE in the South Bay or any other County of LA breaks … move back to where you come from. Stay away from Volusia County, stay away from the South Bay. You are a kook and I have read more posting stating the fact here than any other subject inside wannasurf.com … must be some type of record or something. Go away weirdo!

Been there - seen that. - I've seen it first hand so I have the right to comment on it.

NSG - You know what is funny aboout that last post is? That guy -Surfermsc- is from Volusia County! It's like calling your own mother a dirty whore. Makes no sence. Unless she is ...

main street is ok - the reason i like surfing main street is the corwd factor. I surfed a chest high day there and it was me my freind and this other guy. i mean chest high and no crowd.the only other place you can get that is mentawais and stuff like that.i bet there was at least 30 people and ponce and more at new smryna inlet.so if you hate crowds ponce is not for you neither new smryna or nsb inlet. thats my input

HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY? - SURF SPOTS/AREAS: NORTH VOLUSIA COUNTY *** ORMOND-BY-THE-SEA/ORMOND/DAYTONA *** From "S-Turns" (South Flagler County)to the old Ormond Pier & "Haircuts" consists of deeper water and a closer primary bar to shore than compared to the south. The offshore bar can only be picked-up on that first 'cane swell before a Nor'Easter blows the migratory bar away. Otherwise a relatively steeper wave than southern waters. *** From Ann Rustin to Granada Approach the beach begins to open up. The primary bar moves further out, and the offshore bar more-and-more pronounced. *** From Seminole Approach to Main Street Pier the beach flattens out to near nothing; of which it produces.
