anyone who lives in Beaufort knows that the place is fickle but, it doesn' need a south swell either. I surfed it a couple of weeks ago and their must have been 150 people on it and it wasn't as good as it gets. As far as locals go anyone who has grown up going over there is a local there and we will still get the winters to ourselves. About a hundred and 15 years ago there was a city there that was ravaged by a couple of hurricanes. The people who lived there moved to the mainland. They're descendants are the true locals.
