Once you hit the only stoplight light in Corolla you can turn right and hit any beach access to check the surf. Due to the shifting sandbars, the good breaks seem to change with the bigger swells. Tends to be bigger tword the southern end of the town. It is just about all public beach and anyone who tells you different, just keep walking to the water. There are no crowds anytime, just some tourists to dodge in the surf. Sharks are around, but usually keep to themselves. When it's good, there is nobody around. Get some!
There are public parking lots all over with plenty of room or just park under an empty house.
Overview
Atmosphere
Corolla is a very laidback area with a very friendly vibe. There are a few hardasses who think that no one can surf there except for them. Those guys are savage tool boxes and everyone knows it. Catch some good waves and have some fun while you are in town.

Parking
Please just don't "park under an empty house". This is trespassing. Find public parking. Parking under an empty house is no better than using the shower, pool or urinating on the grass of an empty houise. Have some respect for the law and the property of others.
