locals?
every single local is either on welfare or meth, a bunch of retards. i live in california came up there to visit some family thought id try out westport, cold miserable shit waves filled with drug addicts and locals who think they can surf. being sponsored sence i was 15, now 18. its a retched place full unfriendly people and kooks/ "locals"
i do not recommend anyone visit this shithole :)

Not too bad for northwest
The spot isnt ever too busy the swell is decent for beginners or just an easy fun session. Waves lack alot of power but make up for it in frequency. All in all i would say decent spot just make sure you have a wetsuit and you dont mind freezing your butt off while your on the beach itself...

Seaside, Oregon is better

Wow! This spot has changed. We were just down for March Break, I couldn't believe the Tuberides guys were getting off the Marina. That current was something else as well. New peaks all over the place (hadn't been down since last summer). Freaky!!

the cove still breaks quite often, but the quality of the wave has gone way downhill. ocasionally it does get good, but not nearly as much any more.

i heard that they constructed a breakwater or something right by the cove and it doesn't break anymore......is that true??? really a shame if that's true, the cove is a great place to surf when it's on! also, i noticed that all the pics of the cove posted here are from no later than 2004. plz answer somebody!!! and send in some recent pics of the place if anyone has em'. thanks a lot!!! stay stoked and aloha to the westport crew that's always been really laid back every time i've surfed there.

the with westport is there's no protection from northwest winds so it's blown out on northwest winds
