Ocean Park Access |
| |
On the Long Beach Peninsula. A long drive from most population centers, but very worth it, due to wave consistency. From Olympia, Washington, go West on highway 101 to highway 12 to Montesano. Get off 12 and go south on 107 which hooks up with 101 and go south on 101 to Long Beach. From there go north on highway 103 until you reach the very small town of Ocean Park. Take the second left past the only espresso stand in town (the stand is on your right if you're going north). Follow road to beach, which is accessible by a right-of-way where the road ends. |

Additional Surfing Infos |
| | You will notice two large, volkswagen beetle sized rocks in the surf a little to the north of the right-of-way. A nice sandbar forms 10 to 60 feet to the south of those rocks. That's where you want to surf.
After surf drive on over to Nahcotta, on the east side of the long-beach peninsula, and visit 'the Ark' restaurant. If you have the cash, shell out for a full meal. Awesome food. Or else treat yourself to some goodies from their bakery. This is a true destination restaurant.

Overview |

Atmosphere |
Never encountered a local factor here. Everyone I've met there has been very friendly and forthcoming with information. In my many visits there I have learned that there are some other good, consistent spots in the area. |

General |
Fun. I choose it over Westport. |
