I will go to la push.
The only one campground in the town is right here at hobuck. The price went up from $15 to $25 for the summer. Thats too much to throw a tent at the grass. No more Neah Bay.

surf school at shi-shi?
Last summer the place blew up from National Geographic, Evening Magazine, and Backpacker Magazine. People walked into my camp repeatedly. Tons of hikers, not many surfers. But come on, a friggin' surf shool out there?

my surfboard doubled as a kite
yesterday, me and my buddy ventured out to the strait, it was dead. So we decided to go up to Neah Bay. When we got there, the waves were zig-zagging all over eachother, but we gunned it anyway. Caught a couple of legit waves between the weak willed ones. But between the pissing rain, piggyback waves, and 30 knot winds, we could only hang for a couple of hours. I was walking with my 8ft surfboard and the wind picked it up while i was holding the leash. I kid you not when i say that it was swirling and floating in the air like a kite. Not the coolest surf story, but the i still enjoyed the day. I'm still too new to get so opinionated about the surf conditions being perfect.

Mak bay
This place does break if you know when to hit it. It makes me laugh reading all of these people fighting about waves. If you are a good surfer u will catch waves. PERIOD! If you know how to figure out tides swells directions and so on you will almost always know where to go and when. Educate yourself and read everything that has to do with surfing in WA and that will help you hit it right.
