Fun Shoulder High Surf - Super fun session. Crowded, but no one talking shit and getting pissed. Plenty of waves for everyone. Fun lefts and rights, sunny. The waves got ruined once the tide went out in the afternoon. Definitely coming back for more. All other spots weren

First in 4 months - The water was pretty brown because of the storm, but there were a bunch of people out. I saw some frost on the drive out to the coast. It was fun, but died down in about an an hour and a half.

Long Trip, Okay Day - Okay day for the drive ... everyone in portland that knows how to surf or is trying to learn goes here. Probably great on a big day with the right swell direction during the week. Will not make the drive up on a weekend again.

Short Sands

Short Sands is Epic - Well... not all the time :) But this place seriously goes off when the wind and waves are right. This is one of the most consistent spots in Oregon on a North wind. This place is mostly a longboard wave, despite all the thrusters in the water. I recently moved from Oregon to Cali, and I get many more days of surfing down here, but I will never forget all those head high days at Shorties with only a handful of guys out. Being an Oregon surfer is tough with all the weather, driving, and blown out days, but it does get epic on the right days. Aloha!!!
