Park in the beach lot at the south end of town... You'll be right at the base of the point....leave an armed guard at your car if you don't have Oregon license plates....Take mace or a waterproof 9mm out to the break with you.....Don't take any trouble from anybody and let them know you're armed!....Good Luck!

Incredible perfect peeling point lefts in a woodsy Pacific Northwest setting....Cobblestone shore and a great cove inside with even more fun surf!...Only rode it once but caught some wonderful waves....Very cold...water and air...most of the year but if the surfs up.....

world class point break with some world class assholes frequenting there.....if the guy in the battered volvo wagon doesn't get you....maybe a rogue great white shark will!
My first time surfing the Cove, even though I lived in Seaside back in '96. Since I worked in CB I usually would go to shortys or Indian. Checked out the point/cove Sat, Sun and Mon of Memorial day wknd and finally put on the cold wet More...

Well the secret is out! No links today, though we can provide some if you like. Just go to Google, click on 'video' and type in 'Seaside Point Surf.' We'll be there in the Fall to surf and get more video of the place....it is EPIC. If you live on the west coast, you have to surf this place AT LEAST once in your life. Don't listen to the B.S. on this site saying 'come alone' and some shit like that...COME WITH YOUR BUDDIES....the locals will try to intimidate guys surfing alone...don't fall into their trap!!!

Don't even think about coming here in summer, the best time to come here is Fall. It gets EPIC in the Fall. Winter is good too and most of Spring.....just remember: IT IS PROTECTED FROM SOUTH WINDS!!!! WIND BLOWS OUT OF THE NORTH OR EVEN DIRECTLY ONSHORE IN SUMMER. If U R a kook, U can go 2 Short Sands beach...but that place isn't worth the gas money to get there. PEACE

Some kook has posted a youtube video of Seaside on the comments page on every good California break. Says something like, "YOU WANNA SEE A REAL WAVE?" Then he attempts to get in a pissing contest about which wave is better. Plenty of people oblige him in his insecurities so I guess they suck too.
I am not here to say these CA waves are better, I am sure this break is world-class and then some. I am here to say that guy is a f*cking kook and is publicizing your break. Now Im sure this isnt a secret spot or anything but still. That guy goes looking for love in rest areas I am sure of it.
