From SEASIDE go south on 101. Take the third exit for Cannon Beach(TOLOVANA BEACH PARK). From the South just look for the first Cannon Beach Exit(TOLOVANA BEACH PARK).
Once you get to the TOLOVANA parking lot, suit up and start walking north on the beach towards the big rock in the water (HAYSTACK ROCK). Once you’re about ~500YDS south of the rock paddle out and have some fun. PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROCKS!!! DONT GET TOO CLOSE.
Park in the TOLOVANA BEACH PARKING LOT (it’s free & safe). This is a great beginners spot. You don’t have to be in the group to catch waves as this is a beach break and the waves all depend on the ever changing sandbars beneath the surface. When the surf is bad up north at the cove and the point this place works pretty good. Not epic by any mark of the word but a fun place when all else fails. =P
Overview
Atmosphere
This spot is mostly just families and kids on the big flat beach. I rarely see surfers out at this spot. Because simply put the wave is not that good. But when your usual spot is flat as a board this may be a good alternative.
NOT A BEGINNER SPOT
Whoever said this is a beginners spot is putting people in Danger. This place is one giant rip tide to Japan. Current, current, and more current. This website is a joke. This place will beat you down.

Seems to be a little bigger here when everywhere else is smaller. Used to be a shortboard haven a few years back. Wind is a factor here. Sharks too, but if you're afraid of the sharks you shouldn't go in the water in oregon.

Hardly a 'surf spot'
This place rarely goes off, but when it does it's 'ok' at best. Your best bet is to just drive up to Seaside and surf there, that's where all the good waves are. Oh, and did i mention that great white shart sightings are VERY common at this place? And that a surfer named Kenny Doubt was SERIOUSLY mauled here several years back? This place is definaltely not worth the trouble, just head up to Seaside where it's usually firing.
