drive about 4miles north from otter rock until you come into depo bay adn at the end of the town there is a state park with some historic bull shit. take a left there and pull up to the cove and you should see some guys out getting pummeld on the rocks.
park your car buy the bathrooms suit up and walk up to the hiway and shimy your self down the cliff until you get to the water.
Overview
Atmosphere
the atmosphere of this spot is totaly differnt than surf a beach break. People are on the cliffs watching you yelling at you like what are you doing. and then the park rangers are all yelling at you to like get the hell out of the water. they only do this when it is big and skecthy.
General
but all togeter its a fun place to surf hudge rush.
caution
urchins like mad on the bottom, slick ass goat trail to get down.

Agreed, don't paddle out if there's 3 people in the water. The local guys are pretty cool, but don't be selfish and put people in danger. I've had some great days and some serious scares here. And about that super heavy wave to the NW...it's ridiculous (about 1/2 mile out) - can break on the order of 20-30 feet, but remember that all reforms on the inside here and when it hits you can get beat up bad.
