Sharks sandbridge
There has been only one shark attack in 20 years. 2001 a 12 boy was bit in the right butt cheek by a bull shark while standing on the sandbar hang on to his board. the boy did die It was very sad. 2001 was the year with all the skark attacks on the east coast. I surfed there a lot in the last 10 year and have only seen 3 sharks

Water and Air conditions:
Summer can still have some chilly water. However, for the most part...

June-September, maybe even OCT, trunks, maybe a .5mm vest, top or ls top.

October-Dec 1, Full suit

December through April, Full suit, booties, gloves, hat

April through June, spring suit, but dont pack it away until august.

Sometimes the water is fine, but the air is cold and vice a versa...

if you want good consistent easy to ride moderate sized surf, go to the jetty.

Advice
Hey Lover of Surf

I am going to Sandbridge Beach from April 28-March 5th, Any surfing?? Wet suit 9Full or shorty?)

I am a female who has just started surfing, but have quickly become addicted, will the people get ticked that I am out there or are they pretty relaxed?

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Nice Spot
This is a good spot with the right conditions. There are hardly any other people out there ever so you can usually surf all day without waiting in the line up. As far as sharks go I've surfed there a lot and have only seen 1 shark.

I went out today and it was sick braaaaaaaaaaa. It was better than when I surfed double overhead pipe braaaaa.
Everybody fron 1st street should come to sandbridge braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Its the best wave in the world. braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. You will probally see me down there. I have 3 foot long dreadlocks and Im out all day every day fron 630am to 830pm. braaaaaaaaaaa.

Sandbridge Blows
It has its moments, but by and large it sucks. Every time I check it it's onshore and mushy. In the fall and early winter it gets somewhat better. Keep an eye out for Dave Matthews (Band), as he has a place on Sandbridge and occassionally staggers down the beach.
