Drive down Virginia Beach Blvd Turn Left on to Pacific Ave. Then drive down untill you see 42nd Street, pay the meter and park, Beach is right in front of you.
try further north.
go north about 10 blocks, near the Ramada. There was a little sand bar out there all summer that broke pretty clean...for longboards that is. not a short board spot for the summer. Nor'easter this past week may have fudged the sand though...like it may have done to other places.
