The best surf comes on the rights that come off the point
The parking lot gets filled pretty quick on weekends when it's nice, so get there early, or else you may be walking
Atmosphere
I know we don't get the best surf in the world, but we have as much fun as anyone. North have beach, along with doombringer, are the best spots in all of chicago, i think.

Pylons - It ain't nice to recommend this spot. First, there's a line of pylons that is right in the line of shorebreak. You have to be able to surf around these or you're dead.There are FAR better spots around Chicago than this one.But the beach is great for volleyball and girl watching.

north ave beach?! what?! - this place would be hideous for surfing. the post below mine is totally right on, there are much better spots in the chicago area. not to mention you get a nice fat ticket if the cops catch you in there on your board, as it is illegal to surf in chicago city limits.
