Additional Surfing Infos
Lester River, along with all other spots along Minnesota's North Shore, break predominantly during winter months. So the cold is always a factor to deal with.
Paddle out next to the big rock for the quick way out. Paddle out down the line at the drainpipe for the long, arduous, but safe, way out. The take-off is right in-front of the rock. It's a steep drop, followed by a reeling, walled-up left.
Look for an off-shore NOAA forecast of 4-6ft for Lester to start breaking. It gets real good on a solid 6-9ft forecast.
  Overview
Atmosphere Like all Great Lakes joints, the "crowd" at Lester is always warm, welcome, and stoked. Enjoy it.
General This is the best Left point on the Lakes. Period. No other spot holds a candle to the speed, size, power and cleanliness of the L-Train.
