E. 55th Street Marina. Get off I-90/Rt. 2 at E. 55th Street, follow signs to Marina. Or from downtown take N. Marginal to E. 55th Street, and turn left till road ends. Enter second driveway towards fishing pier. On big E and NE winds you will not only see break on right as you pull in parking lot, you will get your car washed from it as you drive into the parking lot from it crashing into the rocks there.
Few people surf this spot. Area in vicinity is used by local sport fishermen to catch carp and sheepheads. Has bathrooms for changing, and a concession stand in summer months. No beach, manmade rock piles only.
General
This spot needs BIG East or NE winds (over 30 mph) to work. Huge, powerfull waves. Watch out for rocks and boulders at end of ride.. there is no beach.
