  From North (off island)...
Take route 114 down the island..Take a right at route 214...Follow to end, take a left onto purgatory road, turns into sachuset point road, you'll see the beach as you drive down the hill...

From West (Newport)...
take memorial blvd out of the city... pass 1st beach...turns into purgatory road...follow directions above

 Easy to surf, nice clean break, park in western lot, no surfing on east side of the beach..
  Overview
  Atmosphere Long crescent beach, clean break... nice sand... beautiful scenery..wildlife refuge and prep school as backdrop...close to Newport
  General Considered one of the best surf spots in new england, very consistent... Great swells during huricanes, easy to surf, nice long clean break, nice beach...Local vibe is there but much lower than ruggles...Can be crowded in the summer

If this beach is too hard to find than you must be slightly retarded.About the kooks,yeah there are kooks everywhere on the eastcoast, so what?????

lame
this break is very hard to find when its good. it needs just the right swell direction and size. too big its mushes out and is one big close out or its usually too small and weak. good wave to mess around on. watch out for the swarms of kooks out there
