1st beach Access
Right in the heart of Middletown, RI right up against Newport. It has a big green building with bathrooms and whatnot in it. In a nice cove that blocks a lot of the wind slop. Along the south side of the cove are large mansions can't miss them.

Additional Surfing Infos
Huge parking lot right in front of the beach. Couldn't be easier. Real mellow spot with slow waves. Breaks both ways and is a good starting point for beginners. Is nice because it blocks a lot of the local winds. Watch out for the attack of the nasty red seaweed that sometimes plagues the cove. You'll know it's there if the white wash is no longer white but red.

first beach is fun if you have no idea what your doing on the fiberglass shaped thing you ride on if you are one these persons to learn onn then you should go fist beach and enjoy the polluted water and easy waves and not go to ruggles and 2nd because you will probally not make it out alive peace fellow surfers no really first beach is a disgrce to surfing
