Additional Information
Superb spot for the big winter swell because of the sand bar and relatively deep water with the tides. Summer months are inconsistent and you need to get rare storms to kick it up. Fall, winter are the best months with huge swell from hurricanes, nor'easters and average winter storms. Spring can pack a punch, but inconsistent like summer.
Atmosphere
Be respectful to the locals, sometimes they've been known to be a little rough, because most of the residents have been there for a long time. Sometimes the surrounding beaches can break better because of the shifting sand bar, but 5th street is in the center of Beach Haven, which means a bar is just a short walk away.

one day - WELL ONE DAY BACK IN SEPT. OF 75 CENTER STREET LOOKED LIKE A POINT BREAK WAS 6-8 FT AND RIDABLE S.C. BRILLO TOMMY KANE AND I WERE GETTING RIDES FROM CENTER STREET TO 5TH WAS A HURRICANE DONT REMEMBER THE NAME OF IT BUT WAS BEST IVE SEEN IT THERE......

- HeavyD, I hope you didn't select your moniker after that outdated rapper, epecially since you have to be at least in your forties. You shouldn't kick peoples' asses just because you can. Not at 5th ST. or anywhere. I just found Jesus Christ after years of substance abuse and the anger and violence that Can accompany it. I found Him up in Barnegat Light. He was hanging out in the parking lot. Anyways, if you feel you must beat people, why don't you do me a favor(favour - for any Australians or Canucks out there).On the next solid N/NE swell that pops up, why don't you and me head to Holyoke, and you can beat everyone's ass. Then after the line-up's clear we can surf in peace. For some reason, I'm pretty sure you can handle everyone there. I mean it's LBI for God's sake. Then if that's succesful we can travel everywhere and you can knock everyone the fuck out. Though we'll(you'll) probably have a more difficult time practically everywhere else. You might have to enlist a few of your equally gnarly buddies. Or we could use your kid as bait. We'll have him fake injury or something and we could empty line-ups that way. That'd work good in places like The Outer Banks were everyone thinks they're Mother Theresa. Damn do-gooders. Yeah peace out and all of that.
