to add to what i just said, experienced outsiders are welcome if they come with a good attitude and have the aility to share waves. Surfing isnt all about completely dominating and ripping waves, its a learning experience. Also this spot doesnt suck, i have surfed cali, hawaii, mexico and puerto rico and lb is 1 of the better places out of those u just gotta knw how 2 ride it

Your day can be good or bad, depending on who you meet... Some locals are the biggest dirtbags you'll meet, especially the local thugged teenagers. They've been known for jumping others, even with bats and chains. But a lot of the true surfers/locals are the nicest people and will be happy to take care of you if you aren't a kook. Just respect the older guys in the water and don't start anything with anybody. There really is no localism needed to protect the wave because it is not the greatest on the island, especially since it is constantly crowded even during the late fall and early spring, but it will always be.
