Nice wave during the spring time. Only junk thing is its located on a restricted area of a marine base so theres always MPs looking to nab you. Plenty of Tiger sightings too. Really hard to access because theres a barb wire fence restricting civilians.go around the fence and run to the spot! tons of sharks. . . .grew up surfing here with the kailua boys and often would surf by myself. . . so sketchy!Theres a small sand pocket to get out.current can be strong and nearly impossible to get in.SHARKS!!!!!
Atmosphere
I grew up surfing this spot religously with all the boys. All the boys from kailua run this spot. from aikahi to lanikai. dont act dumb and either will they. Watch out for mp's, they like to hide in the bushes, jump out, arrest you, and still your board.

Can be good - Lived in Kaimalino from 79-82 and surfed this spot often...jump in on the public side of the fence and paddle over to avoid the MPs...agree there's usually other places to go when this is breaking

- My home spot from 80 to 89 the fence hung out past the cliff we would hang on it and swing around. Almost caught once by gun ho marines. They jumped out from behind the burm right after we swung around they yelled "FREEZE!" I was closest to them my friends closest to the water dove off the cliff on top of a in coming wave. I followed but at low tide you have to time your jump so I lead the chase across the rocks. One dumb ass dove for me and tripped me up. Dinging my board and slicing my knee. I got up and jumped in. That was the longest paddle around the point with angry marines and a bloody knee tempting the tigers. They gave up and we climbed out around the point. We went again the next day. LOL. Kailua boyz only
