Old Daze - I used to surf here by myself... with no one around in the 80's. There was never anyone surfing here now I see that it is getting national attention. Good for all surfers... bad for Marines. I never did get the local attitude/territorial crap when surfing cuz I only surfed here and didnt want the hassle. Locals surfing here.. cool, just remember that Marines got no where else to go that has no possibility of territorial pissings. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone tried to hwlp everyone else to have a great surf day!
reminiscing - Just trying to find shots of my old backyard. I used to live on the bluff overlooking North Beach. The place is magic. As for sneaking locals on base, I turned it into an art form. For the military and dependents that think they own the place- you had better step back and take a look at where you are at. The whole damn peninsula used to be reserved for Hawaiian royalty. Respect is a two way street.
Car Load. - I agree. I see car loads of Kooks pull up and think they own the place. What a bunch of Barney's. I know "were all here to have fun". But, ruining someones session. Come on! This is a lifestyle for me. Not just some weekend kookathon, carload dumbasses that can't surf for crap. Uggg.
peace. - ive been here for 4 yrs. live on base. its all good. there are plenty of waves. just work for it, dont snake. were all here to have fun. Aloha.
surf by yourself - stop taking twenty f**king civilians on base...it gets worse every time I go there, people paddling out in groups of four and five, only one of them military. kailua cruisers think they own the spot. unless you live on base or are a dependent, don't surf here.
North - Surfered North Beach and Pyarmids for years, late 70,s, did the zombies manuever many a time, parked on colonels row for 14th hole, if it sucks so bad some may say how come Pyramid Rock was on the cover of the Surfing Magazine Phot Annual, Jimmy Ingham surfering it totally barrelled.
- You Kailua boys should be fortunate that your able to get onto the base and surf (which i am not quite sure how you get on). Don't act all hard and local at this break because really it aint shit compared to places on the north shore that are far superior.
Is that all you got???? - How about you STFU and grow up. Its a BASE with military on it. Get over it...Life isnt fair. KTOWN oooohhhh snap, Im so scared of 150 lb surfers who couldnt throw a punch to save thier lives. Haha, KTOWN reppers are such homos. News flash, Kailua is a town full of rich coke snorting trust fund babies that are afraid of ever leaving the confines of mommy and daddy
THIS GUY IS A FUCKIN STIFF. . .STOP SURFING KOOK!!GO TO ANY PARTY IN KTOWN AND RUN UR MOUTH. . .GUARENTEED ULL GET KNOCKED!LETS GOOOO!
KAILUA AND WHAT! - THIS GUY IS A FUCKIN STIFF. . .STOP SURFING KOOK!!GO TO ANY PARTY IN KTOWN AND RUN UR MOUTH. . .GUARENTEED ULL GET KNOCKED!LETS GOOOO!
I know this is a hard concept to grasp for stoner surfers, but the base has rules and regulations for a reason, because they cant have dumb fuk civilians going on base to surf. I see so many dumb groms smoking pot in thier car, snaking waves from people in the line up, acting stupid towards grunts. The base doesnt need that. Grow up and accept the fact its a military base and we are at war. And for the record Kailua boyz dont run shit, Im from kailua and the dumb groms are a bunch of pussys and surfing is all they have going for them in life. Grow up, stop being stupid, and stop complaining because you cant have access to a base. I got a solution and a great way to get on base, Navy.com and Marines.com
conditions - Whats the best way to know if there is decent surf at north beach without actually being there? Theres no camera and it's hard to tell sometimes if the conditions are going to be good. I hate driving here and then seeing that it's crappy and having to turn around.
